Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian stocks suffered heavy losses on Friday following a steep selloff on Wall Street while investors await key Chinese economic data.

Japan’s Nikkei tumbled 2.09 percent or 298.30 points at 14,001.82. Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.47 percent or 15.13 points at 3,188.45.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite shed 0.90 percent or 17.99 points at 1,990.62. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted fell 0.51 percent or 45.70 points at 8,902.40.

China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,136.10. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 23,175.95.
