Asia markets mixed; ASX up 0.1%, Kospi down 0.1%, Nikkei closed

Markets in Asia opened near flat on Monday, seeking direction ahead of a relatively data-light week in the region, while investors had a muted reaction to the risks surrounding a failed military coup in Turkey.

Markets in Japan are closed for the Marine Day public holiday.
South Korea’s Kospi index was down 0.13 percent. In New Zealand, the NZX 50 was flat at 7,079.52.
