Asian stocks traded mostly higher early Tuesday, brushing off an uninspiring lead from their US peers overnight and data from China that showed continued cooling in the property sector.
Japan’s Nikkei jumped 1.73 percent or 294.09 points at 17,267.89.
Singapore’s Straits Times advanced 0.44 percent or 14.63 points at 3,303.30.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite rose 1.05 percent or 20.39 points at 1,964.02.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.28 percent or 24.56 points at 8,908.95.
