Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian equity markets were mostly lower on Tuesday with technology shares in focus following a sell-off in the sector overnight.

China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,337.69. Japan’s Nikkei shed 0.43 percent or 68.83 points at 15,879.46.

Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.40 percent or 13.36 points at 3,299.11.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite rose 0.32 percent or 6.58 points at 2,042.40.

Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted fell 0.31 percent or 28.84 points at 9,188.62. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shut today.
