Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian stocks rose for a second session on Thursday on renewed optimism over the US economic recovery and as investors cheered supportive comments from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.

China's Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,105.93.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng jumped 0.35 percent or 78.79 points at 22,774.80.

Japan's Nikkei was flat at 14,413.39. Singapore's Straits Times was down 0.08 percent or 2.63 points at 3,250.57. 

South Korea's Seoul Composite shed 0.10 percent or 2.04 points at 1,990.17.

Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted rose 0.31 percent or 27.34 points at 8,951.16.
