Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian equity markets kicked off Wednesday mostly higher as traders looked ahead to key Chinese economic data.

China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.28 percent or 5.84 points at 2,107.44.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped 0.55 percent or 124.06 points at 22,795.32.

Japan’s Nikkei rose 1.88 percent or 263.33 points at 14,260.14. Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.24 percent or 7.71 points at 3,254.03.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite was down 0.14 percent or 2.69 points at 1,989.58. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 8,912.49.
