Epic Asian Markets Update

Asian equity markets was subdued on the final trading day of the week after underwhelming US earnings results pulled the plug on a two-day rally on Wall Street.

China’s Shanghai Composite shed 0.67 percent or 13.56 points at 2,010.14. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng slipped 0.52 percent or 119.78 points at 22,866.63.

Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.52 percent or 81.51 points at 15,665.69. Singapore’s Straits Times was down 0.64 percent or 19.99 points at 3,120.45.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite was down 0.09 percent or 1.75 points at 1,955.57. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted fell 0.25 percent or 21.82 points at 8,590.29.
