Epic Asian Markets Update

Asian stocks tracked their US peers lower on Thursday following a slightly less dovish than expected tone from the Federal Reserve, and as attention turned to the Bank of Japan’s policy review. China’s Shanghai Composite shed 0.77 percent or 16.68 points at 2,143.78. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.72 percent or 168.22 points at 23,135.80.

Japan’s Nikkei was down 0.36 percent or 52.25 points at 14,450.10.

Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.46 percent or 14.84 points at 3,215.60.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite plunged 0.59 percent or 12.13 points at 2,047.45.

Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted slipped 0.19 percent or 16.40 points at 8,448.66.
