BASF India has decided to set up a global research centre in India as it shifts its R&D work to Asia. The company has already started looking for a number of sites including Mumbai. However, the investment and time-frame for setting up the centre is not yet decided. Further, the company is also looking to take relevant approvals from the Indian authorities. Meanwhile, the company is also planning to invest at a production plant in India for making crop protection products.
