Coal India, reportedly is to tie up with the newly formed national
laboratory Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR) in
Dhanbad, for neutral coal quality certification for supply to NTPC
plants in the east. Prior to this, joint sampling was carried out
between CIL and NTPC officials, but the differences on quality failed to
subside. So, both the firms had agreed to third party sampling at a
