Epic Asian Markets Update

Asian equities rose on Wednesday, taking their cue from a record finish on Wall Street ahead of a monetary-policy decision from the Federal Reserve.

China’s Shanghai Composite rose 0.27 percent or 5.70 points at 2,134.57. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng added 0.74 percent or 168.67 points at 23,015.21.  Japan’s Nikkei gained 0.98 percent or 140.93 points at 14,466.91.  Singapore’s Straits Times was up 0.11 percent or 3.55 points at 3,212.37. South Korea’s Seoul Composite was flat at 2,052.77. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 8,428.66.
